Gabrielle Dang receives Advancement Motivational Leader Award

Gabrielle Dang, the director of development for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, has been recognized with a 2021 Advancement Motivational Leader Award.
The honour is presented to mid-career professionals in advancement at the University of Toronto for their inspirational leadership and continuous outstanding contributions to advance the priorities of their faculty or division.
In her role, Dang manages major gift donors engagement and provides leadership and management for her faculty's major gift fundraising team. Described as a caring and inspirational leader, Dang is credited with developing a motivating work environment filled with growth opportunities for her team members.
“Gabrielle has a keen eye for improving processes anchored in their core values of meaningful donor engagement and advancing the mission of Temerty Medicine,” the citation for her award notes. “Gabrielle regularly engages in discussions about career advancement with her team and actively seeks creative opportunities for staff to gain experience in areas they’ve identified for their personal growth, such as supervising others, leading campaigns, and volunteer management.”
